Summary
Join us every Thursday at midday for a gentle, relaxed walk around Wardown Park lake. The 1.8-mile route follows accessible tarmac paths and is suitable for people with lower mobility or who use mobility aids. We usually walk 2 or 3 laps, depending on the group.
This activity is led by staff and volunteers from eQuality Primary Care Network (PCN) and Luton Irish Forum, in partnership with Ramblers Wellbeing Walks.

We meet at the Wardown Park bandstand, inside Wardown Park (on the New Bedford Road side).

Most people walk to the site. Surrounding wards include Barnfield, Biscot, Bury Park, Bramingham, Central, High Town, Round Green and Saints.

The nearest bus stops are on New Bedford Road (bus routes 24, 25, 26) and Old Bedford Road (bus routes 3A, 79, 755, CN3 and MK1).

There are 2 free car parks just outside Wardown House. They're accessed from Old Bedford Road (opposite number 192) and New Bedford Road (opposite Bath Road).

The walk runs weekly all year 'round but we take a break between Christmas and New Year.
We walk Thursdays from 12 midday for about an hour.
You can rest any time or opt to do a shorter route.

This walk is open to everyone.
It's especially suitable for anyone who prefers a slow pace. Some of the walkers may have health conditions that mean they walk more slowly, for example Parkinson's, or they may be using a mobility aid.
Children must be accompanied by their parent or guardian.

Simply turn up at the start time. We always walk except in extreme weather or when a weather warning is in place.
